Privacy statement podoCLOUD

The protection of your personal data is of the utmost importance to BORGinsole. If BORGinsole processes your personal data, it is done so in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter called “GDPR”).

This privacy statement clarifies the following:

-          Who is responsable for the processing through the podoCLOUD (PART 1)

-          Which processing is done by BORGinsole and to what end (PART 2)

-          Your rights with regards to the processing of your data  (PART 3).

Feel free to thoroughly and frequently go through this privacy statement, as future modifications cannot be ruled out.

PART 1         Data controllers

The data in question is processed by the podiatrists and by BORGinsole PC, BE0887561480, Torenstraat 89 in 3110 Rotselaar. The podiatrists and BORGinsole are considered joint data controllers by the GDPR, meaning that both the podiatrists and BORGinsole are responsible for the correct processing of the data in question.

For any questions or remarks regarding the privacy policy of the online calendar, or the manner in which your data is processed, you may contact BORGinsole either by phone (016448465), or by mail (melissa@borginsole.com), or by letter (Torenstraat 89, 3110 Rotselaar).

Should you have any questions regarding which data is processed, and to what end or how you can exercise your rights, you can contact the podiatrist with whom you have made an appointment in the online calendar. Contact details of all the podiatrists are readily available at https://www.borginsole.com/en/find-your-podiatrist.

PART 2         The purposes for which your data is processed

In the online calendar, personal data is processed through the BORGinsole website. BORGinsole, however, does not have any access to this data.

The processing of personal data is necessary in order to carry out the appointment with the podiatrist of your choice. Without this data, taking an appointment in the online calendar is not possible.

To that end, the processed data is exclusively provided through the online calendar to the podiatrist with whom you have made the appointment. Only the podiatrist with whom you make an appointment, has access to and will process your personal data in the podoCLOUD. Ability to access and process the personal data by the podiatrists is necessary to schedule and carry out the appointment between yourself and the podiatrist.

This data will not be transferred by BORGinsole to third parties.

Your rights with regards to this processing are outlined in PART 3.

PART 3         Your rights with regards to the processing of your data

Subject to proof of identity (copy of ID), you have several rights with regards to the processing of your data (as defined above). You can exercise these rights free of charge and on simple request by contacting the podiatrist who processes your personal data, i.e. the podiatrist with whom you have made or will make an appointment.

Right of access

You have the right to ask the podiatrist whether they process your data, and if so, to gain access to this data.

Equally, you have the right to ask for a summary of the authorities who receive your data from the podiatrist.

Right to correction

In case of incorrect data, you have the right to demand an immediate correction or completion of the data.

Right to erasure

You have the right to have your personal data erased without undue delay if:

-          the processing of this data is no longer necessary for the purpose for which the podiatrist collected them;

-           you have withdrawn your consent;

-          you object to further processing;

-          the personal data was unlawfully processed by the podiatrist;

-          this is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;

-          the personal data would be compiled in relation to an offer of services to a minor (younger than 13 years old).

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive, in a standard, structured, machine-readable format, the personal data which the podiatrist has obtained from you, and to have this data transmitted to another data controller if the processing by the podiatrist is based on your consent or if the processing is carried out by automated means.

Breach of your personal data

BORGinsole and the podiatrists, to the best of their abilities, protect the personal data from unauthorized loss, misuse or alteration. In the event that a breach of your personal data does happen, and this breach entails a high risk for your rights and liberties, the podiatrist or BORGinsole respectively (if they are aware of this breach and are in any way responsible), will inform you of this breach without undue delay, as determined by the conditions in the GDPR.

Complaints

For any complaints concerning the processing of your personal data, you can contact the Data Protection Authority (Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels - commission@privacycommission.be), though naturally we would advise you to lodge your complaint with us first so we can verify whether we can resolve it ourselves.
